Boardwalk Underneath the Island Eastern Corridor

The Leighton Asia-led joint venture will construct the Boardwalk Underneath the Island Eastern Corridor for the Civil Engineering and Development Department.

The works include the construction of a 2.2km pedestrian boardwalk with associated activity spaces and facilities, three movable link bridges and revitalisation of existing facilities.

Most of the bridge decks will be constructed in the form of Design for Manufacture and Assembly and the components will be fabricated in Mainland China.

Upon completion in mid-2025, the Boardwalk will enhance the connectivity along the North Point harbourfront area, offering more space for the local community, pedestrians and cyclists to enjoy.
