Haven of Hope Hospital

This contract called for the redevelopment of an existing site to provide a hospital, nursing school and accommodation.

The most significant aspect of the work was the complexity of the E&M services required for a hospital and the need for detail coordination of the activities required to install that E&M equipment.

To achieve the highest level of Client/Contractor relations, a partnering approach was adopted with the Client and Consultants.

The works comprised:

• Demolition of existing family quarters and administration building
• Construction of a low-rise non-acute hospital, providing 316 in-patient beds
• Construction of a low-rise annex building containing a School of Nursing, pupil nursing staff residential accommodation, minor staff accommodation and staff kitchen/canteen

Also associated with the contract was the construction of a main access road, other internal access roads, footpaths, landscaping and associated external works.
