Route 3 Lantau Fixed Crossing, Tsing Yi
Leighton Asia delivered the excavation of 9.5 million cubic metres of predominantly rocky materials and subsequent disposal to Chep Lap Kok.
This was for a site preparation and to provide staged handovers to enable interfacing with other contractors working on a major transport corridor.
Scope of work also included slope stabilization such as soil nailing, and the construction of the largest earth fill wall in Asia standing at 41 metre high above its founding level and some 320 metres in length.
