Salkhit Wind Farm

The first of its kind in Mongolia, Leighton Asia delivered the design and construction of the wind farm and its supporting infrastructure. 

This included building 17-kilometres of new access roads and upgrading 11-kilometres of existing track, constructing the 110/35 kilovolt wind farm substation and switchyard. 

As well as the installation of 31 kiosk transformers and 35 kilovolt cable reticulation network over 22-kilometres to connect all the turbines to the substation.
