Our Malaysia team collaborated with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam for the Industry and Career Engagement Day (ICED), organised by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
Engaging with final-year students at a key stage of their academic journey, we shared insights on industry expectations, career pathways, and opportunities within Leighton Asia’s Graduate Program, helping to provide clearer direction as students prepare to enter the workforce.
Drawing on our extensive regional experience, we also highlighted our work in fast-growing sectors such as data centres. Our leaders shared real-word perspectives to give students a better understanding of industry trends and where they can make an impact. Through participation in a forum alongside UiTM alumni, we also supported a candid exchange on the realities of starting an engineering career — including expectations, challenges and growth opportunities.
