Leighton Asia awarded a luxury residential construction project in India

CIMIC Group company Leighton Asia has been awarded a contract to deliver a luxury residential project in Mumbai, India, for Embassy Developments Limited, India’s major real estate developer.

The project, known as Embassy Citadel, is located in the South Mumbai area, and will generate revenue of approximately A$132 million for Leighton Asia.

ACS Group and HOCHTIEF Chief Executive Officer and CIMIC Group Executive Chairman Juan Santamaría said:

“This award demonstrates the Group’s established capability in delivering high-rise residential developments, including in India where Leighton Asia has successfully delivered a range of large-scale residential projects. Our experience in complex urban environments, combined with our commitment to safety, quality and reliable delivery, position us as a trusted partner in the premium residential sector.”

Leighton Asia Managing Director Brad Davey said:

Their capabilities and experience make them a natural partner for a project of this scale, ambition, and technical sophistication.”

The project involves construction of a single tower, approximately 300 metres in height, with a built-up area of around 192,000 square metres. The scope includes civil and structural works.

Construction is set to commence in July 2026.
