Our Boardwalk Underneath Island Eastern Corridor (IEC Boardwalk) project in Hong Kong has received the Merit Prize from the Hong Kong Institution of Highways and Transportation, recognising its engineering excellence.
Now officially open to the public, the 2.2 km boardwalk completes a 13 km continuous harbourfront promenade from Kennedy Town to Shau Kei Wan — a major milestone in Hong Kong’s waterfront development.
The project adopted the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract, fostering collaboration and cooperation throughout delivery. In addition, the use of off-site prefabrication techniques helped reduce on-site construction time, minimise environmental impact and enhance overall build quality and safety.
