As a leading international contractor, Leighton Asia is pleased to support the Hong Kong Engineering Week 2023 to provide a better understanding of the profession as an Engineer to the public.
Under the theme “Our Living, We Engineer”, we tailored a fun carnival game to put the player’s body strength, reaction as well as knowledge on running a construction project to test. Our professional Engineers also shared their experience of working on some of the most iconic projects in Hong Kong.
Riding on the overwhelming success of our Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel (TKO-LTT) driving simulation at previous Construction Innovation Expo, we were proud that this first-of-its-kind highly interactive solution is being featured at the Hong Kong Engineer Carnival.
Based on the actual Building Information Modelling used by Engineers at our TKO-LTT project, the driving simulation allows end-users to visualise and navigate the project design, by ‘driving’ on the future road before it is built. The benefit of this solution is clear – it significantly improves the coordination and approvals process across stakeholders.
It was great fun to share our construction excellence with the public and young generations. Engineering is essential for everything in our daily life. We wish to see more people being inspired to be Engineers where they can make an impact and build a sustainable future together.
