Over 40 years of excellence

For more than four decades, Leighton Asia has delivered significant infrastructure and building projects across Asia.

From Discovery Bay and the Tuen Mun Reclamation in Hong Kong in the 1980s, through to various iconic projects such as Central Reclamation Phases III, and Conrad Resort and Spa in Koh Samui in the 2000s.

In 2016, Leighton Asia has become a part of CPB Contractors, the construction focussed company of the CIMIC Group, one of the world’s leading international construction and mining groups.

Established in 1975, Leighton Asia’s first projects included the Tuen Mun reclamation and Discovery Bay project, both in Hong Kong. In the 1980s and 1990s, the company expanded into Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia and now also operates in Indonesia and Singapore, with renowned projects including the new Australian Embassy Compound in Jakarta, Indonesia.

In 2013, Leighton Asia acquired Welspun Group's stake in Leighton Welspun, renaming the business Leighton India. Leighton Asia is now the Group’s construction focused business in Asia, operating as a part of CPB Contractors.
