Matthew is the General Manager for Leighton Asia’s Singapore business. He has more than 28 years’ experience across the engineering and construction industry in Asia encompassing significant roles in design, construction, tendering, delivery and management of major projects. Matthew is now responsible for the development and corporate management of the Singapore operations.
Matthew’s experience encompasses both direct and advisory roles on road and rail infrastructure, high-end commercial, mixed use, residential and hotel high-rise developments, industrial plants and mechanical, electrical and plumbing works. His specialty lies in underground engineering and infrastructure, tunnel boring machines, mined and cut-and-cover tunnel works. Matthew holds a Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Construction Law and Arbitration. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
General Manager – Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia
Jan oversees Leighton Asia’s businesses in South-East Asia, including Philippines and Indonesia, and our tunnel operations in Hong Kong. He is the President Director of PT Leighton (Contractors) Indonesia.
Jan has over 24 years’ civil engineering experience with expertise in the management of major scale civil infrastructure projects including specialist bridge, tunnel, rail and road design and construction. He has overseen the delivery of a range of technically challenging infrastructure projects, in Hong Kong and overseas.
Sahala Tambunan is the Director of Leighton Asia’s business in Indonesia. Sahala has over 22 years of working experience in finance, accountancy and other professional fields.
Prior to joining Leighton Asia, Sahala worked for the Public Accounting Firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Ernst & Young. Sahala is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Economics majoring in Accountancy from University of Padjadjaran in Bandung, Indonesia.
Country Operations Manager, Indonesia
Andrew is the Country Operations Manager for Leighton Asia’s business in Indonesia. He has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry managing complex projects in the Power, Buildings, and Civil Infrastructure Sectors across the United Kingdom, Australia, West Africa, the Middle East and Indonesia. He has been working in Indonesia for two decades.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Civil Engineering from City, University of London. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and member of Institution of Civil Engineers in the United Kingdom.
Country Manager and President, Philippines
Kits is the Country Manager and President of Leighton Asia’s business in the Philippines. He has over 30 years of experience with strong backgrounds in Strategy, Sales and Marketing, and Business and Relationship Development.
Kits has held several senior management positions across Construction, Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Water Supply and Heavy and General Industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management Engineering from the De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines.
Pre-contracts Manager, South East Asia
Scott Green manages Leighton Asia’s Pre-contract functions for the South East Asia region, including Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia.
Scott has over 25 years of experience in the industry across key construction sectors, from housing, education, health, luxury resort development to heavy civil infrastructure in multiple regions. He has been working in Indonesia and Singapore for the last seven years. His wealth of international experience has been key in strengthening and improving the pre-contract functions of the business in the region.
Senior Legal Counsel, South East Asia and Offshore
Adam is the Senior Legal Counsel for Leighton Asia’s South East Asia and Offshore business. He provides legal advice and support to business functions throughout the construction life cycle: from tendering and joint venture, through to project procurement and contract administration, and also commercial management and final resolution.
Adam has 20 years of working legal and compliance experience across jurisdictions worldwide. This includes active onshore and offshore sector experience in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, India and South-East Asia, as well as Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
Workplace Safety and Health Manager, Singapore
Thirumurugan is the Workplace Safety and Health Manager of Leighton Asia’s business in Singapore. He has 14 years’ experience in occupational safety and health management in the construction industry.
Thirumurugan joined Leighton Asia in 2014 and plays a key role in the development of the business’ strong safety cultural and performance. He is a Graduate Member of the Occupational Safety and Health Institution and a Professional Member of the Singapore Institution.
Finance Manager, Singapore
Grace is the Finance Manager of Leighton Singapore’s business and leads the Singapore Finance team.
She is a Certified Public Accountant and has over 15 years of professional experience in audit, finance and accountancy in Hong Kong and Singapore. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Accountancy from University of McGill in Canada.
Director, UGL (Singapore) Pte Ltd
Kenneth is the Director of UGL (Singapore) Pte Ltd. He has over 40 years’ experience with specialities in water treatment plant engineering and construction.
Kenneth was involved in large-scale water treatment plant projects in Singapore including the Chestnut Avenue Immersed Membrane Plant, the Choa Chu Kang Ceramic Membrane Extension and the Johor River Waterworks Extensions. Kenneth holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Diploma in Management Studies from the Singapore Institute of Management.
Finance and Administration Manager, Philippines
Ichu is the Finance and Administration Manager of Leighton Asia’s business in Philippines. She has more than 24 years of experience in the construction industry with a strong background on finance and accounting.
